The EHR Business Transformation Project Support Officer role will work with the EHR BusinessTransformation Workstream Leads and Information Officers to support the Business ChangeManagement, Engagement, Communications and Benefits initiatives.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will act as a project management specialist within theBusiness Transformation Workstream will act as a project specialist and help embed excellent project management approaches to deliver these workstreams on time and to quality. They will work closely with members of the Information Officers, Business Transformation (Business Change, Engagement and Benefits to provide practical administration and project management support, such as meeting organisation and notation, dependencies actions and risk tracking, updating project plans. This will include tracking risks,project plans, dependencies.

Job responsibilities

To communicate effectively to relevant stakeholders.To provide regular project updates, monitor progress against plan, highlightreporting packs, delivery of the project and post project review to theProgramme Board.To provide written reports at agreed periods of time on the measuredsuccess of the Workstreams and their constituent partsTo build effective relationships with internal staff and external partners tofacilitate optimal joint working to create innovative ways to supportdevelopment and implementation of improvement projects andprogrammes.The post holder is required to deal effectively with staff of all levelsthroughout the Trust as and when they encounter on a day-to-day basis. Inaddition, the post holder will deal with the wider healthcare community andexternal organisations such as UCLH and Epic . This will include verbal,written and electronic media.Prepare and present written and oral progress reports setting out progressin relation to the work and learning and alerting the stakeholders to issuesrequiring discussion and decision.Sustain effective working relationships with the operational and clinicalteams across the Trust.Supporting the Project Manager with the management of the Risks andIssues logsAbility to successfully collaborate with others of different skill sets,backgrounds and levels within and external to the organization insometimes contentious & challenging situations.The post holder will need to be able to communicate effectively with a widerange of people and will need to be able to present information in a varietyof ways to both large groups as well as on a 1:1 basis.At times, the post holder will be required to use persuasion, negotiation andinfluencing skills to ensure the correct outcome is achieved.

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area

  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
  • Experience in monitoring progress against agreed timescales to proactively obtain results, and in ensuring risks and issues are identified, reported effectively and countermeasures are in place
  • Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at executive/board level.
  • Experience of working on digital and/or transformation projects.
  • Ability to organise and manage working groups
  • Experience in providing training on project documentation and processes.
  • Experience in project reporting, issue management and escalation.
  • Evidence of using innovation/best practise to improve ways of working


Desirable

  • Experience of working in public sector or health care
