This exciting new role has been developed following additional investment to support the AHP workforce within the Integrated Care Service Line of West London NHS Trust. This is a fantastic time to join the Trust as we have recently integrated with Hounslow community health services, bringing with it a substantial increase in the AHP workforce. This sits alongside our existing suite of community and mental health services, representing a real opportunity for whoever is appointed into this role to shape patient pathways across the Trust and the wider North West (NW) London Community Collaborative.

Main duties of the job

You will be an experienced AHP leader with the ability to build strong relationships, create a clear vision and have a willingness to explore the art of the possible. In return we can offer a support system comprising of a strong local leadership team and access to an extensive peer network of AHP leaders both across the Trust and the wider NW London ICS. You will receive professional supervision from the Associate Director for AHPs and you will gain access to the wealth of training and CPD offers that comes with working in West London NHS Trust.

Please note that the interviews for this post will take place over 2 days. A half hour stakeholder panel will take place via MS Teams on Monday 10th February, and the panel interview will be held on Tuesday 11th February in person at Trust HQ in Southall, Ealing.

Training & Qualification

Essential

  • Degree or Masters Degree in one of the 14 AHP professions as recognised by NHS England.
  • Formal post-graduate qualification in a relevant area at MSc level or equivalent experience
  • Current registration with the HCPC.


Desirable

  • Formal leadership/management qualification.
  • Member of Professional Body e.g. RCOT, CSP, RCSLT, BDA etc


Experience

Essential

  • Extensive post-graduate experience with several years at a senior level.
  • Significant experience of working across a range of clinical settings. Extensive experience of working in community services.
  • Experience of being a senior manager in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience of developing and implementing strategies to support the development of a workforce.
  • Experience of working effectively with service users and carers to strengthen involvement in service delivery and evaluation, including co-production.
  • Participation in clinical governance agenda and leading on aspects of this, appropriate to clinical background.
  • Experience of leading service changes in complex environments.


Desirable

  • Published work and/or presentations at regional and/or national conferences.


Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Advanced knowledge and application of current best practice in relevant to professional background across a wide range of clinical settings.
  • Ability to work across professional boundaries, at all levels, as well as on own and within a team.
  • Proven ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders for the purposes of developing and driving a shared vision.
  • Current knowledge of relevant professional and NHS policy initiatives.
  • Knowledge of current NHS structures including Integrated Care Systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass on skills and knowledge to others - both formally and informally.
  • Ability to manage change and develop services in a politically sensitive


Desirable

  • Experience of using a quality improvement methodology (Model for Improvement, Lean etc.) to improve services.
