An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist with a passion for Medicines Information & Medicines Optimisation to join our team asthe Lead Medicines Information, Formulary and Pathways Pharmacist.
We are looking for a highly motivated, forward-thinking, dynamic individual to join our senior team, who is keen to learn, innovate and push the service forward . You will have excellent organisational and people skills and the ability to work with and influence staff within the Trust and across North East London ICS.
Interviews are scheduled for Wednesday 22nd January 2025
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a key member of senior Pharmacy team, delivering a high quality Medicines Information service to clinical staff and patients, whilst developing effective working relationships within a multidisciplinary setting both at the Trust and the wider North East London ICS.
In addition to being the lead for MI, they will represent Homerton at the North East London Formulary and Pathways Group (NELFPG) and they will be the secretary of the Trust's Drugs and Therapeutics Committee (DTC). The rolewill be central to ensuring the rapid and efficient implementation of the latest evidence-based guidelines across the Trust for the benefit of patients.
The post holder will provide clinical pharmacy services, be involved in the training and development of trainee pharmacists, technical staff and junior pharmacists and will line manage several staff.
It is expected that the successful applicant will be an experienced clinical pharmacist with a substantial track record providing Medicines Information services, excellent time management skills, a proven ability to introduce new drugs into a formulary and extensive experience providing clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting. They will have successfully completed a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or have equivalent hospital pharmacy experience.
