Are you seeking your next exciting career opportunity? Are you looking for a department that will value you as an individual and support your career development? We are looking for team members who share our outlook and passion for delivering an exceptional quality cardiac investigation service.
Due to ongoing expansion and development in the cardiac department and the services that it offers, we are looking for new team members. We currently provide a wide range of cardiac diagnostics for both inpatient and outpatient services for residents of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. With the addition of new team members we will be striving to develop our range of Physiologist Led services.
Applicants to the posts should have BSc Clinical Physiology (cardiology) or equivalent. This post is suitable for Physiologists with substantive experience (including education) who are able to demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning. We welcome all applicants and offer the most supportive environment for both personal and professional development to allow you to further develop your career.
This role is full time: 37.5 hours per week + on call commitment.
Main duties of the job
The Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, is the main provider of acute healthcare to the majority of Cornwall's residents and many seasonal visitors. Cardiology Services offer a comprehensive range of investigations and treatments appropriate to a large DGH.
We are seeking a candidate that shares our values and commitment to ensuring the quality of our services. We encourage open engagement in service design and delivery, and seek an individual eager to share knowledge and ideas in an open and friendly forum.
You will be part of a team delivering a wide range of non-invasive and invasive specialist procedures including interventional procedures and device implants and follow-ups. Participation on the on call rota is an essential part of this role.
Non-invasive investigations include exercise tolerance testing, HUTT and a range of holter services.
