The Clinical Skills Trainer will work within the Clinical Education Team to develop clinical skills throughout the organisation, delivering education and assessing competence where necessary. The post holder will contribute to the development of a skilled workforce and facilitate a range of education, training and learning opportunities. This includes support in the delivery of classroom-based training, remote teaching, practical sessions, and blended learning.
The role will facilitate the development of staff and improve skills and competencies to develop the individual, team, and organisational performance in line with Trust objectives. The post holder will contribute to medical device education and training and support the development of skills and competence in the use of devices within the organisation.

Main duties of the job
- To actively participate in the development of clinical staff.
- To have a clear understanding of the requirements for clinical staff in different roles.
- To support the clinical education team in fostering a positive learning environment for all learners and participate in the promotion of clinical skills development.
- To offer clinical guidance and support to managers, learners and those supervising and assessing learners.
- To participate in the evaluation of clinical skills, as required.
- To work with the Trust IPC, Pharmacy, Tissue Viability and other teams to ensure consistent content and message for training.
- To work flexibly to facilitate learning for all clinical staff with a focus on the promotion of quality learning experiences in person, remotely and as a blended approach.
- To work with the clinical education team to support the development of clinical staff, facilitating clinical skills training as required.
- To actively participate in educational meetings and forums and help to inform future developments.
