We are inviting applications for a three-day a week Band 7 Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, who's primary role will involve developing our Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) pathway. The role will include assessment, treatment, and the monitoring outcomes for this client group. You will be joining a busy CAMHS eating disorders team in Hampstead.

This is an exciting, new role with opportunities for the post-holder to design and develop the pathway, as well as contribute to the wider teams learning about therapeutic interventions for ARFID. We would welcome applications from psychologists with skills that could be applicable to this client group, such as neurodiversity and EMDR therapy, but these are not essential.

We are a friendly and innovative, eating disorder team working with young people and their families. Our multi-disciplinary team includes clinical/counselling psychology, nursing, dietetics, psychiatry, psychotherapy, and family therapy, all supported by a friendly admin team.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Clinical or Counselling psychologist with experience of working in eating disorders or child and adolescent mental health, and who wishes to play a key role in service development. We welcome applications from psychologists qualifying this year, and we can provide all the necessary supervision and support needed for newly qualified psychologists.

Main duties of the job

Developing the ARFID pathways alongside the MDT ARFID mini team and wider eating disorder team.Providing family-based treatment andCBT for ARFID to children and young people with eating disorders.Developing and providing psychoeducation to families of ARFID patients.Providing consultation and supervision to the team as appropriate.Liaising with other specialist eating disorder services to share and develop ARFID knowledge and best practices.
