We are happy to be offering a Fixed Term Contract opportunity to join our supportive HR team until September 2025. This is an ideal opportunity for someone keen to develop their HR career and who is interested in providing excellent HR advice to managers and staff. We will support professional studies to help build and develop your career.

Working as an HR Advisor, supported by our experienced HR Team, we are looking for energised individuals who will be excited to join us. The focus of these roles will be to have an immediate and positive impact in our HR support and advice within our Trust, being visible and accessible as a key member of the local teams, balanced with flexible hybrid working.

This role is based at Wedgwood House, Bury St Edmunds.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone with good overall Employee Relations knowledge and proven experience of focusing on putting people before process.

We want someone who can gather and understand intelligence, specifically focusing on absence and performance management, as well as get involved in wider HR related project work to increase your HR Generalist knowledge, and to help coach our leaders in supporting our staff. Communication is key. We are looking for someone who can communicate professionally with a wide spectrum of people to achieve the best outcome.

However most importantly and in keeping with our trust values, we are looking for someone who has exceptional people and influencing skills as this role requires you to convey difficult decisions whilst having to maintain professional relationships.

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is the main provider of specialist mental health services for the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk, serving a population of 1.6 million people. We are a large organisation covering a wide geographical area divided into ‘Care Groups'. There are also Care Groups supporting children, family and young people’s services, and specialist services, including Forensic mental health services.

Each Care Group has its own Leadership team, with the aim of supporting clinically led decision making locally, to support the needs of people accessing services.
