Main duties of the job

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Technician (Higher Level) to join our Digital Services team. You'll be a lead specialist, responsible for providing high-quality IT support across multiple sites, ensuring systems, networks, and applications function seamlessly for our staff and patients.

Job responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for IT systems, networks, and operating systems.
• Analyse, diagnose, and resolve complex IT issues, communicating technical information to non-technical users effectively.
• Support the implementation of IT projects, including network installations and upgrades.
• Maintain IT inventory, ensuring accurate records of equipment and software.
• Offer limited 1:1 user training following system installations or issue resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with IT Security, Data Protection, and NHS policies.
• Participate in the On-Call rota and occasionally work outside normal hours to complete upgrades or urgent tasks.
