An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our busy lung function & sleep team in one of the largest hospitals in the UK. We pride ourselves on providing a comprehensive range of quality diagnostic and treatment services.

Main duties of the job

Successful applicants will require excellent interpersonal skills, be able to motivate and develop others, enjoy working as part of a team but also be able to work autonomously with a high level of responsibility. The successful applicant would be expected to be proficient in a number of advanced respiratory and sleep physiology investigations, including NIV initiation, with the ability to provide accurate and detailed reports for the clinical team and communicate effectively within your own team and others across the Trust.

Applications are invited from suitably experienced physiologists with significant experience post RCCP/ AHCS registration, who hold a relevant degree and experience of leadership or management of an area of service within a respiratory physiology department.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • *BSc Clinical in Clinical Science/ Physiology or equivalent
  • *ARTP National Assessments or equivalent
  • *RCCP /AHSC registered


Experience

Essential

  • *Specialist training/ experience in areas of advanced respiratory measurement and therapeutics e.g sleep and ventilation
  • *Ability to make clinical decisions safely
  • *Experience of teaching and training physiologists to associate and practitioner level
  • *Experience of leadership/ staff supervision

  • *Undertakes a range of routine and specialist diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
