We are seeking to appoint a new Radiology Breast Service Manager. The Radiology Breast Service includes the Breast Screening Service across Dorset (Both fixed and mobile units) and also a Symptomatic Breast Service on the Poole and Bournemouth Hospital sites.
University Hospitals Dorset is one of Britain's leading healthcare providers in the NHS. It was created in October 2020 by bringing together two Trusts: Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital.
The new Trust has a turnover of approximately £720m and employs over 9,000 members of staff.
Base Location: Poole Hospital
Interview date is scheduled for the 13th January 2025
Main duties of the job
The Radiology Breast Service Manager will be accountable for the leadership, management, development and co-ordination of the Dorset wide Breast Screening Service and the Radiology Symptomatic Breast Services at both Poole and Bournemouth Hospitals. The successful applicant will ensure delivery of responsive, high quality and efficient services within the resources available without compromising the quality of care we provide to our patients.

- Significant experience as a Senior Manager within Radiology
- Significant demonstrable experience of delivering end to end change in a service or function with scale and complexity
- Leading multiple teams/ leading individuals that manage complex service areas
- Significant demonstrable experience of successfully managing budgets such as budget setting, monitoring and actively managing variation whilst carrying the weight of the responsibility of providing a quality service to patients
Desirable
- Project Management experience
Qualifications

- BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography
- Senior Leadership / Management Qualification or significant demonstrable experience
- Master level qualification in Radiology related module or extensive and highly specialised knowledge/experience
