We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic Registered nurses to join our team on a 32 bedded endocrinology ward at UHND.

Within Ward 6 we strive towards delivering a high standard of care to each and every patient we have the privelege to care for. Our nurses and healthcare assistants make this happen and we would love to hear from you if you believe that you have your own individual strengths and qualities to add to our team.
Main duties of the job
This post is for a qualified nurse who wants to further their experience and skills in nursing. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate good clinical skills and will be responsible for individualised care of patients. They should be able to assist with education and supervision of learners. Be able to supervise and co-ordinate other staff as appropriate. Take charge of the ward or department in the absence of the person who has continuing responsibility. To facilitate early discharge planning enabling appropriate arrangements to be in place for patients leaving hospital, making referrals and providing information to community services, as required, in order to achieve a safe and timely discharge from hospital. Demonstrate compassion and empathy at all times..

We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
