An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our organisation in a newly developed role and team as a Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for Children with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and Clinical Lead.
Would you like to lead on this role within the speech and language therapy team? Are you keen to develop the service to incorporate innovation, best practice and learning?
Do you want to be able to work from home and from a clinical base? Would you like to thrive in an organisation that values staff wellbeing and invests in your development?
Do you have the skills and knowledge to help us deliver our vision?
If yes, then this role is for you. We are seeking an exceptional candidate who has experience, is passionate about the care they deliver, and who wants to be part of a supportive and inclusive team. You will be joining a friendly and supportive, and knowledgeable multi-professional team and will receive quality reflective supervision. We really value all of our team members and dedicate a significant amount of time to supporting well being, so much so that we were shortlisted for NHFT's Wellbeing Ambassador Award.
Main duties of the job
The Children's Speech and Language Therapy team provides a Speech and Language Therapy Service consistent with professional standards to children with communication difficulties and dysphagia. This includes children with specific difficulties and/or complex needs at home, on the wards, in community clinics, pre-school settings and mainstream/special schools.
The Speech and Language Therapy Team offers a wide range of clinical assessments, providing interventions which are determined by specialist care pathways and offering direct support to children, young people, their families, education, health and social care colleagues.
We are a countywide SLT service and the post holder will be required to travel and work flexibly across the county to meet service demands and will be a car driver and be able to provide Business Insurance on their vehicle.
