Women's Outpatients Department at Saint Mary's Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a junior sister role.
You will work within a large team covering specialties such as Oncology, Benign Gynaecology, Uro-Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine. With training, you will provide care for women undergoing outpatient gynaecological procedures such as hysteroscopy and colposcopy.To join us, you will be a Registered Nurse with valid registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to support and contribute to a team approach, have excellent time management skills, manage own work load, have the ability to problem solve, analyze and resolve issues. In addition to this, you'll be motivated to develop personally and professionally and have exemplary personal standards of conduct. Gynaecological experience is an advantage but not essential as full training in Hysteroscopy and Colposcopy clinics will be given.
Post is 37.5 hours full time permanent
Main duties of the job
To undertake comprehensive health care needs assessment of patients, reassessing as appropriate. Assess, plan, prioritise, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions to meet patients' needs. Contribute to the organisation of multi-disciplinary, patient centred care. To delegate duties as necessary and maintain patient safety.
You will need to assist in clinics Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy, Cancer Exclusion clinics, Reproductive medicine, Miscarriage clinics, Menopause clinic, Urodynamics, Anorectal studies , Urogynaecology clinics & many other clinics.
You will need to lead on different audits being carried out in the department and IQP as necessary.
