The post holder will be practising under supervision as a trainee advanced practitioner within cardiac rehabilitation. This will encompass the skillsof assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout cardiac rehabilitation and related services.

The post holder will aim to work towards the Advanced Nurse Practitioner Qualification.

The training programme involves a combination of workplace-based learning of clinical skills, attitudes and knowledge and university based academic modules. The academic rigour of this levelrequires dedicated study time.

The training programme should be completed, subject to satisfactory assessments. The trainee will then progress to being a band 7 Cardiac Rehabilitation Advanced Nurse.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our experienced team in the delivery of Cardiac Rehabilitation. We are seeking a nurse who possess anursing background in Cardiology and who has either completed a Masters in advanced clinical practice, is already working towards completion or willcommit to completing within five years. The purpose of the role is to provide specialist Cardiac Rehabilitation knowledge, expertise and skills forpatients and their families that promotes recovery and self-management.

This requires you to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe and effective pathway for cardiac patients.
