This role is at the very centre of our service delivery strategy and will hold responsibility for leading the design and delivery of service development projects and QI activities. Working as a member of the senior leadership team, the role holder will deliver on specific service development and transformation projects in line with organisational and ICS priorities, such as the NHS Long Term Plan.
A key role will be to leading the transformation team in support our services as we move towards the mobilisation of our new clinical model, also being accountable for re-shaping the transformation team to ensure the right level of support is in place to embed the new clinical model.
Main duties of the job
Responsibility for developing and delivering programmes of work, using highly developed project management skills to develop and improve services for children and young people across Devon and Torbay.
Ensure that service developments and projects are co-produced with service users, carers and wider stakeholders.
In collaboration with CFHD Directors and Heads of Services, lead the delivery of local transformation and service development plans
Work to identify and develop new development opportunities and take a role in leading income generation across CFHD.
Provide assurance that developments are consistent with, and deliver on, strategies and other key objectives as defined by the service, commissioners, NHS England or other key agencies.
Work closely with the participation lead to support engagement with service users and their carers in the transformation process
Assess and scope opportunities for new business and income generation including co-production of business plans for enhancing care for children and young people and the financial opportunities to develop budgets
Identify and co-develop new service delivery and innovative practice models to ensure that we provide cutting edge services for children in Devon
Ensure that programmes of work achieve cultural and transformation change aligned to national and local policy drivers.

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) comprises an Alliance of NHS organisations working together to improve health outcomes for children and young people in Devon.
CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health which are provided by Torbay and South Devon Foundation Trust and Devon Partnership Trust. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework.
CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.
Our integrated care and treatment have been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.

- Educated to Masters level or equivalent level experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
- Extensive knowledge of service development and change management acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to Masters level equivalent.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.

- Experience of leading service development and change across the organisation and externally
- Proven experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
