We are looking for a forward thinking, enthusiastic pharmacist to help lead and deliver out-patient services and work with the specialist pharmacy teams providing services across the trust.
Senior Specialist Pharmacist for Immunosuppressant and disease modifying drugs
This is a full-time post. The post holder will be required to participate in the on-call (back up), weekend, bank holiday and late-night duty rotas.
Main duties of the job
Key duties include: leading a team in the provision of out-patient pharmacy services for immunosuppressant and disease modifying drugs collaboratively working with specialist teams for developing clinical pharmacy services, facilitating training of permanent and rotating staff, including mentoring and tutoring supporting the lead patient services pharmacist in the roll out of patient centre consultations.
You will need to be a GPhC registered pharmacist with a diploma in General Pharmacy Practice or equivalent and broad hospital-based experience. You will need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team. You will also need to be friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, willing to learn new skills and be committed to continuous professional development.
The Pharmacy Department offers comprehensive pharmaceutical services across site including in-patient and out-patient services, a well-respected clinical pharmacy service supported by specialist clinical pharmacists and a well-equipped Medicines Information centre integrated into the Regional Medicines Information Centre. A large licensed 'specials' manufacturing unit complements these services
