We are looking for a dynamic forward thinking individual to join our Day Stay Unit at Broomfield Hospital .
This position requires you to support the Clinical Leads, Matrons and Theatre Manager in the management of all areas within Day Stay and Theatres, ensuring the team is dedicated to delivering excellent care throughout the patient's journey.
You will need to be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide additional support when required for any other specified area within Theatres.
You will be responsible for promoting and developing the concept of one department and sharing the workload through teamwork.
You need to be visionary and dynamic to assist the Clinical Leads, Matrons and Theatre Manager in driving the team forward in a rapidly changing environment, to assist in developing and managing junior member of the team.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will assumes the responsibility to run The Day Stay unit B448 effectively to meet patient care needs
Co-ordinate staffing rosters to ensure appropriate and safe staffing levels in all areas where DSU staff operate
Assist in the management of the budget and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained
Identifies and manages resources, staff, instruments, equipment and stock.
Communicates effectively with manager, clinicians regarding the changing status of the department
Anticipates needs, problems and develops a reasonable action plan to reduce the likelihood of problems going unattended
Delivers expert patient care for the patient and the service and assures that all care givers within this area of responsibility do the same
