Band 6 - Burns and Plastics Therapist (Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist)

We have an exciting opportunity to work in the burns and plastics team at Chelsea and Westminster hospital.
The post holder will join a dynamic and highly skilled team and will have the opportunity to cover a wide scope of settings from ICU to community rehabilitation of burns patients. We are looking for a dynamic Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with excellent assessment and treatment skills who is keen to learn and be part of the team.
Main duties of the job
The position is split between inpatient and outpatient care and following up patients care into the community to complete their rehabilitation journey.
The position holder will have a clinical caseload of ICU care as well as inpatient, outpatient and community cases of both adult and paediatric patients with burn and plastics injuries.
The successful applicant must be competent and efficient at patient assessment, formation of treatment plans as well as having teaching and supervision skills.

- BSc or Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- Evidence of on-going CPD since qualification
Experience
Essential
- Experience working as a qualified therapist in burns and/or plastics and/or hand therapy
- Experience of working as a qualified therapist in Respiratory, ICU and critical care settings
- Experience as a qualified band 6 therapist working in paediatric therapy
- Participation in in-service training programs
Desirable
- Experience working in an outpatient setting
