We are currently seeking a RN to join the Community Nursing service. The role involves providing holistic nursing care to adult patients in their own home or residential care setting. Sucessful applicants will be required to hold a first level nursing registration with the NMC, additional training specific to the role can be provided.
Main duties of the job
The Community nursing team provide both planned and reactive care including Urgent Community Response.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

The sucessful candidate will provide a variety of nursing care to patients including wound care, administration of medication, palliative care, management of bowel and catheter care. The role involves assessment of patient care needs, care planning, delivery of care and review. The sucessful candidate will be required to work independently as part of the wider Nursing team reporting back to senior staff on duty.
