This role is in the Shared EPR Team, part of The Health Informatics Service hosted by CHFT. This job is also being advertised at BTHFT and AFT.

Hospital correspondence experts are invited to apply for a new role designing and delivering communications workflows in the electronic patient record.

There has never been a better time to join us as we embark on the next exciting phase of digital development with the introduction of a new electronic patient record (EPR). For the Trust, our EPR is much more than a digital version of written notes. It will bring about a transformation to the way we provide care to patients and we're looking for energetic, forward-thinkers to join the team.

The Trust is already acknowledged as a pioneer in the delivery of digital healthcare, with its award-winning digital care hub delivering care round-the-clock care homes, prisons and people in their own homes.

We are seeking to appoint to a number of EPR Configuration Lead roles for the EPR Workstream(s).

Main duties of the job

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be an effective communicator and able to negotiate and persuade others. to support quickly developing good working relationships with the team, the EPR supplier, clinical and administrative / managerial along with senior Trust staff and other key stakeholders.

As part of the Trust's commitment to flexible working there will be some opportunity to work from home and in the office on a rota basis. This will be reviewed regularly in line with service requirements.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Post Graduate Diploma/Masters Level Qualification in relevant discipline or experience in an IT Systems Data Quality environment with evidence of relevant skills equivalent to that standard
  • Electronic Patient Record / Clinical Systems Configuration Training
  • Show evidence of continued professional development


Desirable

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner (or equivalent project management methodology)
  • Cerner Millennium Configuration Training


Experience

Essential

  • Experience of Electronic Patient Record system configuration, performance monitoring and business continuity for example Cerner Millennium EPR
  • Experience of long term strategic planning of system developments in line with national local requirements
  • Experience of managing IT systems data quality design and delivery
  • Experience of designing and running complex reports from Electronic Patient Record systems
  • Experience of customer engagement
  • Demonstrate effective staff management
  • Proven professional experience in the field of IT
  • Experience of working in a user support environment
  • Experience of troubleshooting in an IT systems data quality environment


Desirable

  • Experience in implementing a new clinical system or Electronic Patient Record
