Main duties of the job

The post is based at Musgrove Park Hospital (MPH).

Rotations occur every 4 months with current rotations being:

*Orthopaedics -- MPH

*Stroke service and Neurology -- MPH

*Care of the elderly - MPH

*ITU and Respiratory - MPH

*Surgery, with some exposure to oncology - MPH

*Musculoskeletal Out-patients -- Dene Barton/Bridgewater Community Hospital

*JETT (Joint Emergency Therapy Team) -- MPH

The workload will be flexible and, at times, will involve the provision of service in locations other than specified.

To take a full part in the on-call and weekend rota (following an induction programme).

This post will be part of the delivery of the physiotherapy 7 day week service including Bank Holidays and you will be required to participate in the rota system i.e. work 5 days within a 7 day period.

This is a post graduate 'training post' in physiotherapy where the post holder is supervised. Mentoring is available on all aspects of patient care and more senior staff are always available on site The post serves to:-

*Identify, prioritise, assess and treat appropriate patients providing a safe and effective physiotherapy service
