We are looking for a physiotherapist who is wishing to take the next step in their career as part of our dynamic pelvic health physiotherapy department. This exciting fixed term contract offers you the opportunity to work in a large team with an excellent reputation.
As a specialist department, this is the ideal location for you if you want to build on your foundation skills and develop expert knowledge in specialisms from management of musculoskeletal problems in pregnancy to pelvic floor dysfunction.
Our work includes managing obstetric and gynae-oncology wards, musculoskeletal obstetric and pelvic floor dysfunction outpatient clinics, and classes including, core stability and a healthy pregnancy advice group.
We offer a rotational programme within the team with a strong induction programme for new starters and an ongoing focus on personal development. We offer a friendly, supportive and respectful environment where each team member strives hard to deliver first class, patient centred, and high quality care.
The post will give you the opportunity to build on and extend your clinical expertise and also develop your supervisory skills. Education and training are key elements of the department. The applicant should have some experience of working in a pelvic health physiotherapy setting either at undergraduate or post qualification level. Being flexible and innovative in your ways of working will be fundamental to your role and good communication skills are essential. As a band six physiotherapist you will also be responsible for the mentoring and appraisal of other members of the team and physiotherapy students.
The successful post holder will rotate yearly between our sites. There is a commitment to the 5 days over 7 working rota (orthopaedic).

Main duties of the job
- To provide high quality physiotherapy management to patients at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
- To participate in a cross site rotational scheme, providing a high standard of physiotherapy to patients within acute rehabilitation.
- To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
- The job holder is required to work at weekends as part of their contracted hours of work, (specific rota details are held locally within departments).
- The job holder is required to participate in the overnight on call rota and will do so once they have completed the relevant induction and achieved the required competencies, (specific rota details are held locally within departments).

- Degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy
- Evidence of CPD through maintenance of a portfolio.
- Demonstrate learning of personal effectiveness and first line leadership from experience and from both formal and informal CPD activity.
Desirable
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

- Recent substantial and sustained experience in relevant physiotherapy specialities and clinical settings
- To have undertaken audit and/or research, either within area of physiotherapy speciality or as part of the MDT
- Demonstrate an understanding of the use of evidence based practice in speciality
- Experience of supervision of students/ physiotherapy assistants, with development of basic supervision skills
