This midwifery role provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to independently provide antenatal support and assessment for high-risk pregnancies and also develop new skills.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work closely with the maternity and neonatal consultant leads, in providing pregnant women and birthing people, who have risk factors for preterm labour and birth with safe management and improved outcomes. This role will work collaboratively in supporting a service that establishes the safe management of families care pathway, meeting their individual needs in complex and sensitive situations and improving safety and outcomes for mothers and neonates, by providing high quality and safe care to families at risk of a preterm birth or with Multiple Births.

- Band 6 Registered Midwife with minimum of 2 years' band 6 experience.
- Degree in Midwifery and evidence of continued professional development
Knowledge and Experience

- Experience working within an Antenatal Clinic setting
- Experience of leading and developing services within an NHS Trust
- Experience of implementing change in service provision
- Knowledge of national and local maternity policy influencing service provision
Desirable
- Involvement in Preterm Pathways or Twin Pathways
