This is an exciting career development opportunity for a committed Physiotherapy professional to join the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Physiotherapy service. This part-time position is based at the South-West Ambulatory Orthopaedic Centre, located on the Nightingale hospital site.

The post is 22.5 hours/week and will need to be flexible in supporting the clinical and leadership teams in developing the orthopaedic pathway and delivering post-op rehabilitation to patients.

The post holder will carry a clinical caseload of patients across the ward ensuring assessment and treatment of all patients from pre-assessment, same day mobilisation through to post op rehabilitation in order to facilitate a rapid flow of patients through the service and timely follow-up.

The post-holder will provide management and supervision of the Therapy team and the communication of the rehabilitation process and related information to patients and relatives. They will be responsible for the therapy provision in terms of performance, outcomes and service delivery.

The post holder will lead the training and development of less experienced staff, undergraduates and other professionals as required and be responsible for the development and delivery of a safe and effective, evidenced based service across seven days.

The post holder will facilitate resolutions of workload/staffing issues, ensuring risk assessments are completed and providing information to the Head of Physiotherapy as required. This post will work closely with the Clinical Lead Physiotherapists for Elective Orthopaedics and Trauma at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre.

The post will be across seven days including weekends and bank holidays.

Working Pattern: Between 8am and 8pm
