The post holder will provide project and managerial support encompassing a broad range of activities across the Children & Young People department. This will include the monitoring and reporting of activity and waiting times information and data, management of administration staff and operational support.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of operational plans and manage performance by proactively leading and providing solutions to resolve operational issues or escalating where necessary.

Main duties of the job

The Children and Families Care Group is seeking to appoint an experienced, motivated and independently minded individual with a can do leadership style.

The post holder will provide project and managerial support encompassing a broad range of activities across the Obstetrics, Gynaecology and ISH department. This will include the monitoring and reporting of activity and waiting times information and data, management of administration staff and operational support.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of operational plans and manage performance by proactively leading and providing solutions to resolve operational issues or escalating where necessary.

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to work with the Clinical Director, Care Group Manager and team.

  • Qualified to Degree level or equivalent knowledge & experience or training, plus further staff or project management knowledge.


Experience

  • Experience of working within the NHS
  • Experience of the use of electronic systems/databases
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment

  • Experience of working with waiting list information


Skills

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent I.T. Skills

  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role
