We are looking for an enthusiastic, and experienced SACT Practitioner who can drive forward the Trust's vision and values within an existing team and ensure safe high quality care for patients within our care.
We are seeking an experienced nurse with proven clinical and leadership skills with a passion for working within the field of chemotherapy, you must have experience of administration of SACT, pre-treatment assessments and pre-treatment consultations
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient, effective, and patient-focused service
The post holder will practice under the supervision of an advanced practitioner within the Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) service to provide patient-centred clinical care, encompassing and developing the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the department. The post holder will demonstrate expertise within the SACT service, providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers. They will have responsibility for supporting the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues. They will act as a specialised role model and leader for all members of staff and play a supportive role in the continuous development of the services within the Trust.
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner working alongside other health care professionals to assess and treat patients attending the Chemotherapy Day Unit with specific conditions.

- 1.Registered Nurse on the NMC Register
- 2.Recognised Chemotherapy qualification at level 6 or equivalent
- 3.Post Graduate specialist qualification in cancer related subject (oncology / malignant Haematology)
- 4.Educated to degree level
- 6.Evidence of continuing professional development
- 5.Teaching and assessing qualification.
