Staff Nurse - Oral Surgery Department
You will be required to work in all areas of the department including clinics, Minor Oral Surgery, theatres and recovery, caring for patients undergoing both GA and LA procedures. (This will includeairway management and providing a safe nurse led discharge.)
Main duties of the job
To work as a skilled member of the nursing team, within the specialities of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to provide a high standard of compassionate patient centred care.
To lead and supervise the work of other qualified and unqualified staff within the team.
To promote a welcoming, caring, and safe environment for the patients.
To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.
To be able to take charge of the department in the absence of senior nursing staff, as deemed appropriate by the Department Sister or Clinical Matron.
