We are recruiting for a Team Manager to our district nursing teams in Taunton!
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership and management of the six district nursing teams, providing services to patients in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints.

Main duties of the job
You will ensure a high standard of care and treatment for patients and work with other members of the Integrated team and other agencies to best meet the patients' health and social needs.
You will play an active role in the development of services in line with the Trust's Strategy and Business Plan.
You will provide clinical support and supervision to District Nursing staff, including the Band 6 Team Leads and Clinical Leads within the team and to provide clinical leadership.

Responsibility for the operational management of the staff in the Team.
Undertaking workforce and skill-mix planning, and managing the allocation of the workforce with regard to operational, financial and clinical management.
Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care. To ensure a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management and to support junior staff to do likewise.
Formulating and delivering an individual treatment programme based on advanced knowledge of evidence based practice and treatment/therapeutic options, using expert clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills.
Ensuring that designated staff implement policy and service development changes.
Ensuring own professional competence and credibility, being aware of research findings, trends and developments in professional practice by maintaining a presence in clinical areas working with staff, patients, clients and carers in an advisory, teaching or support capacity.
