Main duties of the job
Full time role, with two components:
- To act as a clinical pharmacist within the Family Health Team, delivering a clinical pharmacy service to one or more nominated clinical areas within the Family Health Division (0.8WTE, i.e. 30 hours per week).
- To assist with the delivery and development of undergraduate medical education in safe prescribing and therapeutics (0.2wte, i.e. 7.5 hours per week).

- To partake in specialised clinical pharmacy duties ensuring core clinical pharmacy activities are undertaken
- To provide leadership, management and specialty/service support roles
- To line manage and support more junior pharmacists and support staff in the Family Health Division
- To contribute to the delivery of teaching on Safe Prescribing and Therapeutics for Medical Undergraduates during clinical attachments at Nottingham University Hospitals
- To take full part in the 7-day shifted rota and bank holidays duties
Person Specification
Training & Qualifications
Essential
- B.Pharm / BSc (Pharmacy) or MPharm
- GPhC registered
- Diploma/MSc in clinical pharmacy or other appropriate post graduate qualification
- Demonstrates continued professional development
Desirable
- Evidence of post-graduate qualifications relating to paediatric/neonatal pharmacy or teaching
- Independent Prescribing Qualification
- Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (MRPharmS)

- Wide previous experience (post registration) of clinical pharmacy
- Broad knowledge base of clinical areas.
- Experience of day to day supervision and assisting in training of pre-registration pharmacists and/or technicians.
- Understanding of issues affecting the NHS
- Experience of day to day supervision and assisting in the training of junior staff (e.g. pre-registration trainees or technicians)

- Experience of working within Womens and Children's Services.
