This role is in the Shared EPR Team, part of The Health Informatics Service hosted by CHFT. This job is also being advertised at BTHFT and AFT.

Main duties of the job

Airedale Foundation Trust are joining Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust and Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust by using their Electronic Patient Record.

We expect to welcome around 3000 new EPR users in November, and because of this we are looking for applicants to fill a range of clinical, technical and administrative roles in our Shared EPR Team. The Team manages one of the most complex hospital systems in the UK, building new content, improving clinical workflows and ensuring that interfaces to other clinical systems are operating correctly. If you already use the Cerner EPR (provided by Oracle Health) or are interested in being part of our team to help improve patient outcomes and staff working practice, then please take a look at the different roles on offer.

The Shared EPR Team is made up of colleagues from BTHFT, CHFT and AFT, and if you work at one of these Trusts today you can still be employed by them and join us.

These same vacancies are being advertised by all 3 Trusts, you only need to apply via the one Trust you would like to work for. Job responsibilities

The new EPR Analyst role will add capacity to support the increased work expected in the Patient Administration Services workstream and in the Order Comms workstream.

For the PAS Analyst role it would help if users have experience using the EPR or similar patient administration system in a hospital environment.

For the Order Comms role it would help if users have experience or knowledge of order comms processes existing in a hospital environment today.

Both post holders will have knowledge clinical systems and informatics skills, as the role requires being an interface between the clinical and the technical to maintain and manage the PAS or Order Comms features available in the EPR system.

Essential

  • A good level of IT literacy with Microsoft Office Package experience
  • Specialist experience of change & in the improvement of business processes


Desirable

  • Experience of design and configuration of a clinical system or patient administration system
  • Experience of process mapping and current state analysis
  • Extensive (3+years) experience within the clinical area/department
