The post holder will contribute to the strategic development of performance related processes, advising operational teams as appropriate and assisting with Trust planning documents. They will provide appropriate managerial leadership to ensure continued improving performance against internal and national targets. They will be involved in Independent Sector contracting & ongoing management of patient flow & recording of activity, ensuring services deliver value for money at every stage of the contracting process. The post holder will be required to deputise for the Director of Performance and Planning when appropriate.
Main duties of the job
Motivated & motivate to consistently improve delivery against performance metrics. Managing the RTT validation team, providing leadership & knowledge to improve performance.
To be responsible for producing weekly & monthly board reports ensuring all data is accurate and in date.
Chair weekly performance meetings in the absence of the Director of Performance and Planning.
To be responsible for the expert/detailed analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) pertaining to the Trust and Divisional Board Report & make appropriate recommendations based on improvement opportunities
To lead the negotiation & review of service contracts to ensure that the Trust receives high quality, efficient and cost-effective services that meet Trust business and regulatory requirements.
Plan & assist the implementation of projects to modernise services & to improve working practices to meet organisational and service delivery plans.
Monitor service improvement programmes & associated work streams that support specific patient pathways. Ensure collaborative partnership working with other NHS Trusts, CCGs and partners across the health economy, as required.
