We are looking for someone with exceptional leadership qualities who can motivate staff and work in conjunction with our dispensary services team across sites to manage and develop our dispensary and stores services on the Hammersmith Hospital site. The successful applicant will work closely with the Deputy Chief Pharmacist on the Hammersmith site and dispensary leads on the two other main sites. The post holder will also be a key member of the senior pharmacy team on the Hammersmith site and be a key contributor to a number of cross site meetings including Operational Services and Quality and Safety.

Main duties of the job

  • To assist the Senior Lead Pharmacist in the provision of a high quality patient focused dispensing service to patients of the Trust, associated hospitals and community clinics.
  • To manage all technical functions of the dispensary and provide professional leadership to all technical dispensary staff.
  • To develop, train, motivate and encourage all staff working within the dispensary including (but not exclusively) pharmacists and technicians

Person Specification

EDUCATION

Essential

  • Recognised pharmacy technicians qualification e.g. NVQ assessor (or equivalent qualification)
  • Mandatory professional CPD as defined by GPhC
  • Registered Technician with the GPhC


Desirable

  • ManagemeClinical trials qualification or indepth GCP/GMP trainingt or leadership qualification or equivalent experience
  • D32 or A1 Assessor for NVQ


SKILLS/ABILITIES

Essential

  • Excellent ability to use computer systems including excel and word
  • Good ability to organise and prioritise work
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify and manage risks
