An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH) as Programme Lead for Audiology. The role will play an important leadership role in the recovery and improvement work to support a challenged service to offer a high quality service to our local population. We require this leadership for 12 months. This is a challenging role which will require excellent interpersonal skills and programme management experience.
You will be a values based leader, role modelling our DBTH Way and We Care Values through your everyday behaviours and interactions with colleagues. You will be driven by a passion for making a difference and motivating others.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring delivery against agreed recovery plan. These include prioritisation of urgent patients and timely access, resolving IT and infrastructure issues, supporting and developing the team through comprehensive training and education and embedding effective governance systems and processes.
You will report to the Deputy Chief Executive, providing assurance and timely escalation of issues. You will work closely with the divisional leadership team and audiology service colleagues. There will also be a requirement to liaise with partners outside of the organisation including at Place, ICB and NHSE Regional level.
Main duties of the job
The role will project manage the recovery plan, working closely with the service and divisional team to ensure there is a clear understanding of the position against agreed milestones and that these milestones are delivered on time.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive, the post holder will provide assurance and briefings on progress, ensuring timely problem solving and escalation where appropriate.
The key elements of the role include:o Programme managing the recovery plan to ensure milestones are delivered on timeo Leading relevant workstream operational meetings and holding to account workstream leads for delivery of their actionso Briefing executive directors and supporting assurance reports for Board, committees and external partners and regulatorso Co-ordinating comprehensive demand and capacity analysis, liaising closely with the service, division and business support functions to ensure a robust and accurate analysis of the service needs is understood
Working closely alongside operational and clinical colleagues, the post-holder will perform a bridging role between to ensure the necessary improvements are delivered within agreed timelines and that interdependencies between the workstreams are understood and factored into the overall recovery plan.

- Extensive senior performance management experience in a complex organisation
- Experience leading an effective business planning process and service recovery / improvement programmes
- Excellent knowledge of NHS performance measures relevant to the subject area of the post
