Due to a recent promotion, we are excited to be in the position to advertise a part-timeBand 6 Sister/Charge Nurse with Renal experience.
Our regional Renal service covers 1.6 million people, looking after over 1300 dialysis and transplant patients across a large geographical area including 4 trusts and 6 satellite dialysis units. The vacancy at Kendal Dialysis Unit/Centre, based within Westmorland General hospital, is situated in the beautiful Lake District.
As the unit is nurse led the role will be pivotal in ensuring patient safety. Therefore, you must be able to lead, support and motivate the team to provide the highest quality patient care and show evidence of effective leadership, organisational and communication skills. You will be a clinical role model and willing to support the development of the team and your own professional growth. You will be working in a well-supported team with direct support from the Unit Manager, Lead Nurse and Matron. This role is integral in delivering a high standard of care for our patients, and you will play an important role in maintaining and developing our renal service.

Main duties of the job
You will support the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse or Matron in ensuring the provision of excellent care with compassion for the patients, relatives and visitors who are cared for within or by the department, service or team.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care to meet the personalised health and wellbeing care needs of patients, in line with the Trust's Values & Nursing & Midwifery Professional Framework
You will also strong leadership and direction to the team, monitoring and maintaining standards of care and professional practice to support day to day efficient running of the clinical area.
In addition, you will act as a strong role model and provide development, clinical supervision and advice for other staff and students to support them in reaching their full potential. Actively engage in research and development opportunities for the service.
Your role will ensure the productive operation of the unit environment through the maintenance of a safe, clean and organised environment.
