The RFL Clinical Integration Programme Director leads and supports achievement of the Royal Free London's group-wide goals and governing objectives through the delivery of a portfolio of major programme and clinical change activity. Reporting to the Chief Medical and Chief Delivery Officers, the role will provide support to the delivery of the Post Transaction Implementation Plan (PTIP) as part of the planned merger of North Middlesex University Hospital Trust into the Royal Free London Group and specifically will provide Director level leadership for Clinical Integration.
The role will need to build relationships and influence delivery across a range of clinical services as part of major programme delivery. This role is fundamental to creating expert support and capability across the Group and the Health Units to deliver the benefits of merger.
The post-holder will provide strategic and tactical leadership to the scoping, development, delivery, reporting and assurance of high value interventions as part of the Clinical Integration Workstream, supporting individual SROs, operational and clinical teams in the execution of their unique accountabilities including management of risk and realisation of benefits.
Main duties of the job
Leading (and supporting the Group Director of Efficiency & Integration) in the definition, development, delivery and assurance of Clinical Integration over two years
Ensuring programmes of work remove unwarranted variation and deliver the agreed benefits of merger, including the delivery of the four Wave 1 Patient Benefit Cases
Development of clinical integration roadmaps and toolkits to enable at scale clinical integration including prioritisation and initiation of Wave 2 clinical priorities
Ensure full alignment with the Trust's core tripartite strategies - Clinical Strategy, R& D Strategy and Education
Realisation of financial benefits through highly effective financial planning, forecasting, monitoring and control in accordance with the principles for effective management of public money
Working with the Integration Director provide director level leadership of the whole PTIP including the management of the Integration Programme Office
