An opportunity has arisen in the Rheumatology team for a full-time band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist for a six month fixed-term / secondment. The post is based at GOSH within the Rheumatoology service, which falls in the Blood, Cells and Cancer Directorate.
Rheumatology covers numerous multi-system diseases that are caused by chronic and acute inflammatory conditions that require a great deal of specialist input. A world-renowned clinical team, who are experts in this field, are responsible for delivering services, diagnostics and assessments to affected patients.
We are a tertiary service within the UK NHS that care for children with Rheumatological disorders.Most of the children and young people we care for are referred to us from other hospitals throughout the UK because of the highly complex or rare nature of their condition.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:o Have relevant clinical experience at band 6 or 7 level in an acute or community environmento Be flexible and reliableo Have a passion for learning new skills and taking on daily challenges
Whilst it is acknowledged that applicants may not have specific knowledge or experience withinRheumatology, candidates should be aware that if successful further training and CPD may be required to ascertain the skills that are necessary for this role and be willing to undertake additionalstudy to achieve the level of competence that is required.
