(12 months fixed term)| Band 8A + High Cost Allowance
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive & dynamic individual with an appropriate level of knowledge & skills to join the Pharmacy team at East Surrey Hospital. This post is fixed term for 12 months from March 2025 to cover a maternity leave.
The post holder will be part of a team of five lead pharmacists responsible for the Pharmacy service to the Medical Division, each with their own specialist area. This post would specifically be the lead for Cardiology. This post is linked to an existing PE clinic that would be ideal for a qualified independent prescriber. Other duties include medicines expenditure, clinical governance and risk management, as well as enhanced roles in education and training.
Our department has over 100 staff of which half are pharmacists, 18 of whom are band 8As. We are a friendly and progressive department with a strong emphasis on training and development. The pharmacy department works closely with Health Education England to deliver the foundation pharmacist training programme, as well as the Universities of Brighton and Medway. Ask us about our links with Guy's and St Thomas' and other local healthcare organisations.
For more information take a look at our Pharmacy Recruitment page on the Trust Website https://www.surreyandsussex.nhs.uk/work-us/pharmacy-recruitment and click on the Hear from our Staff. This includes an interview with one of our lead pharmacists.
