Band 7 Specialist Palliative Care CNS 37.5hrs/week
An exciting opportunity has risen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our well-established Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care and End of Life team in the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. This is a senior nursing post which combines clinical, educational, audit, research and managerial duties. You will be providing and promoting evidence-based care in order to influence clinical decisions regarding the care of patients with palliative and end of life care needs working collaboratively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Your role will ensure the continued development of our high-quality service, working collaboratively with the community, local hospices and the Integrated Care Systems on a holistic, cross-boundary approach.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop's Stortford, and St Margaret's Hospital in Epping.
We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop's Stortford and Epping. Our extended catchment area incorporates a population of up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire.

- Provide specialist holistic support to adults with life limiting illness and to those approaching end of life within the acute setting.
