The Epic Interfacing team leader will manage a team of application analysts responsible for interfacing and interoperability development at Cambridge University NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will require in depth specialist knowledge of the Epic system and experience in the use of interfaces to transfer data between electronic patient records in the NHS, enabling clinical pathways to traverse system boundaries.
Main duties of the job
Day to day the individual will liaise with the workstream configuration and clinical leads to understand the interface and integration requirements. The individual will then create and manage interface developments, aligned to the Trusts IT change management methodology so that all changes are managed in a structured fashion. This approach will ensure that all changes across the technology environments are synchronised, impact assessed and released with minimal friction across the Trusts technology landscape.
The individual will be responsible for the complete build, deployment and testing of Bridges, InterSystems, .NET and other 3rd party interfaces. They will be experienced in developing HL7, IHE, FHIR, .NET or other technical interfaces on Epic, InterSystems or alternative EPR and Integration platforms. This level of experience will enable the individual to design and develop interfaces that will allow IT systems to talk to each other using modern interoperability standards.
