Hywel Dda UHB has an exciting opportunity to develop prehabilitation services to support patients in preparation for cancer treatment. We are seeking an exceptional, inspirational, dynamic and experienced physiotherapist to support the development and implementation of a new and innovative cancer prehabilitation service.

Hywel Dda UHB is the second health board in Wales to launch a prehabilitation service for people with cancer. The Prehab through to Rehab programme will support people to prepare for cancer treatment by enhancing patients clinical, functional and wellbeing outcomes, as well as improving patient experience.

Main duties of the job

Working as a multidisciplinary prehabilitation team, the successful candidate will provide specialist and targeted interventions to optimise patients before treatment and rehabilitation post treatment.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible in delivering interventions through both virtual and face to face contacts to deliver a health board wide service.

Applications are invited from individuals with demonstrable experience in working with people with cancer. They should be interested in working as part of a MDT therapy service, which actively supports professional development and is committed to excellent patient care and service improvement.

The post is advertised as full-time however, we welcome interest from full-time or part-time applicants and job share will be considered.
