An opportunity has arisen for you to join our Gynaecology Assessment team, St Mary's Hospital MCS at North Manchester Hospital, within Manchester NHS Foundation Trust. This is a permanent position at 37.5 hours per week. Applicants should have NMC Pin to apply.
The unit provides a service 7 days a week, including patients referred via A& E, midwifery team, GP's and other health care professionals or who attend for follow up appointments. The unit provides care for all Gynaecology conditions.
This is an internal application post. Gynaecology Ward and Emergency Gynaecology experience is essential for all applicants.
Main duties of the job
Gynaecology experience is an advantage. Completion of the Emergency Gynaecology Course is of benefit but not essential as the successful candidate will be enrolled on the Emergency Gynaecology Course providing you with the skills to see, treat and discharge all pregnancy related patients.
The successful candidate will play an essential role in assessing and triaging the patient and delivering timely care, ensuring clear communication with the MDT. The GAU unit has plans to become a 24 hour, nurse led service.
To join us, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to support and contribute to a team approach, have the ability to problem solve, analyse and resolve issues. In addition to this, you must be motivated to develop personally and professionally and have exemplary personal standards of conduct.
