Arts Manager, BWC EnjoyArt, Patient Experience Team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone who is experienced, skilled and passionate about the arts and health combined with excellent planning and organisational skills. They will embrace our Trust values of ambition, bravery and compassion - and will join our Patient Experience Team to deliver our EnjoyArt Programme.
EnjoyArt is the Charitable funded arts programme at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Trust.
The Trust comprises Birmingham Children's Hospital, Birmingham Women's Hospital, and our community sites.
The role has budgetary responsibility through management of the Arts and Entertainment BWC Charities budget and specific project budgets.
The management of freelance artists, assistants, visiting artists, musicians and groups of performers is also a key feature of this exciting role.

Main duties of the job
Working within the Patient Experience team, the Arts Manager is responsible for the planning, management and delivery of the live arts programme. Working across all the Trust sites they will implement and oversee the delivery of visual art workshops music, dance and theatre performances creative projects and site-specific commissions for wards, outpatients and public areas.
You will work with the Senior Patient Experience Manager and our BWC Charities Programme Lead to develop the annual plan for the live arts programme. They will research and propose artists, partners, and projects in response to the annual themes and strategic aims of BWC EnjoyArt.
You will lead the recruitment of freelance artists through open calls and active research to ensure BWC EnjoyArt appoints a diverse pool of artists and organisations with which to partner. You will liaise with visiting artists, cultural organisations and hospital staff to develop projects and manage all scheduling, HR, impact monitoring and resources relating to their delivery.
You will support the Senior Patient Experience Manager and BWC Charities Programme Lead with commissioning large scale integrated artworks as part of the hospital's redevelopment programme and work in collaboration with the wider team on the administration of smaller scale projects and their associated commissions.
