We have a fantastic opportunity within the Digital and Information Service for an experienced Digital Project Manager. The Digital Project Manager will oversee and manage a range of digital projects in line with the Trust Strategy.

The post is 18 months secondment and can be based at York or Scarborough. Hybrid working is available for this role (office/ from home), and the post holder will be required to travel between sites.

To excel in this role, you will have ability to work on own initiative and organise / prioritise own & team workload, ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a manner which is clear, fluent, and persuasive, proven ability to analyse and appropriately present information so that it is easy to understand and ability to influence, persuade and negotiate with staff at different levels. Please refer to the person specification for the rest of the essential criteria.

Main duties of the job

Main Responsibilities

Establish, document, and approve the project's scope in a project initiation document. Determine the necessary resources and process improvements, and agree on the project plan with key stakeholders.

Share project progress, as determined by the project plan, as needed and at the appropriate frequency. Such communication could be with a variety of organisations and/or people, such as the Department of Health, the Board of Directors, the Executive Board, the Corporate Directors, the internal Project Board, managers, and staff.

Inform the project board of any risks or issues and implement mitigation, reduction, or avoidance measures.

Qualifications and Training

  • oEducated to degree level or equivalent
  • oProject Management knowledge, either acquired through a postgraduate diploma or via experience of managing and completing complex projects
  • oQuality Improvement knowledge either acquired through a postgraduate diploma or via experience of managing and completing complex projects


Experience and Knowledge

Essential

  • oExperience of service development and project management in specialist area
  • oExperience and competent in using word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software
  • oExperience of managing and delivering change effectively on complex projects
  • oExperience of managing complex projects
  • oExperience of undertaking complex surveys relating to project


Desirable

  • oExperience of working in a NHS acute hospital and / or community
