The maternity services at Bolton Foundation NHS Trust are seeking a Registered Health Care Professional to deliver the immunisation programme for women and pregnant people during pregnancy. This is a new service run from the Royal Bolton Hospital. The post holder in administering IM injections, be able to recognise and escalate anaphylaxis . The post holder will also be responsible for the delivery of health promotion information and messaging of health education in specific reference to maternal vaccinations.
Applications from overseas Nurses - The Trust appreciates and values the contribution international nurses bring to the NHS. We also understand the support overseas nurses need to gain full registration once in the UK (via OSCE) and therefore we only recruit internationally to fill nursing vacancies when we can ensure support is in place. Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the delivery of the vaccinations, ensuring a safe and effective service across the hospital and community setting.
To deliver a high standard of evidenced based care to women and pregnant people in a professional and safe environment.
To undertake clinical assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care in line with national guidance ensuring a high standard of documentation and data collection.
To supervise and teach junior members of staff and students.
To contribute to local and Trust wide objectives and adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
