The posts primary importance is in the delivery of the NHS England educational contract with Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT). The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the educational contract for Medical Education between the Trust and NHS England and Medical Schools are fulfilled and that educational targets within the contract are met for junior doctors and students.
Flexible working options can be discussed for the appointed candidate. Hybrid working can be an expected offer for the post holder.
Main duties of the job
To support the Director of Medical Education, Director of Undergraduate Medical Education, Deputy Directors of Medical Education, Medical Education Manager, and UG Locality Tutors in developing, managing, and delivering a range of high-quality and cost-effective educational services within the Trust to specifications required by the General Medical Council (GMC), NHS England, Medical Schools and the Trust's strategic and operational framework.

The department deals with the management, organisation and development of medical education within the trust to provide psychiatry placements and training for doctors and medical students all over the county. Medical Education also provides vibrant academic CPD programmes for medical students, junior doctors, and senior doctors which include SAS doctors and Consultants.
Medical Education is funded via the NHS England Kent Surrey and Sussex (Learning Development Agreement (LDA) and we are regulated by external bodies including the General Medical Council, specialty schools, and the Royal Colleges.

Job responsibilities
The role encompasses the day-to-day line management of all Undergraduate administrators working within the Medical Education team to ensure the delivery of an effective service for the medical student administration across the designated years of 2 x medical school programmes that we support from different medical schools from induction to end of the placement. This includes maintaining student records and ensuring systems, processes, and data management are effective, accurate, and auditable.
The post holder will be required to liaise and communicate effectively with internal and external partners to promote the resources of the Undergraduate Medical Education Department and make students and faculty the focus of your role. Communication and organisational skills are vital as is the ability to build relationships and support others.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
