Job Details
Please note that this post is only suitable for those qualified, or soon to qualify, in a recognised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training programme. Specific training in CBT for people with psychosis and bipolar is desirable.
This is a 12-month fixed-term post to cover maternity leave. It is an exciting opportunity for an established or newly qualified therapist to gain experience, knowledge, and skills in working psychologically with people with first episode psychosis.
Although this post is advertised as full-time, applicants who wish to work part-time will also be considered. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available for both full-time and part-time applicants, in line with Trust policy.
Main duties of the job
Successful applicants will provide psychological assessment and treatment for people with psychosis and their families and carers.
The post holder will form an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team for the team(s) in which they are based.
Job planning will be completed with the successful candidate to ensure that they are able to work safely and competently in accordance with professional guidelines.
About us
The Norfolk and Waveney EIP Service has undergone significant expansion over the last eight years following funding from NHS England for the Access and Waiting Time Standard. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with other therapists across the Service.
The Norfolk and Waveney EIP Psychology team has also undergone expansion over the past five years. The current team includes five clinical psychologists, one Counselling Psychologist, five CBT therapists, four trainee CBT therapists, one Systemic Family Therapist, one Trainee Systemic Family Therapist, and four assistant psychologists. The Psychology team hold regular away days and there is opportunity for peer supervision and Continued Professional Development (CPD).
We are a research active service with regular opportunities to get involved in national and local projects.The service also has links with the University of East Anglia (UEA) Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology.

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is the main provider of specialist mental health services for the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk, serving a population of 1.6 million people.
