Fixed term contract/secondment opportunity for 2 years
We are looking for an Immunotherapy Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Oncology & Haematology department here at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.
You will help lead and develop the immunotherapy service alongside Oncology consultants, Oncology clinical nurse specialists and Oncology consultant practitioner.
This role is on a fixed term basis for 2 years.

Main duties of the job
As post holder you will contribute to the continued development of the specialist service with the Oncology consultants, Oncology clinical nurse specialists and Oncology consultant practitioner. This will include the management of a caseload of patients, working at an advanced level, where they directly or indirectly influence all aspects of care and management of patients prescribed immunotherapy.
You will ensure the delivery of high quality, clinically effective care, prioritising, and utilising research in everyday practice as appropriate.

Job responsibilities
- To provide a specialist nursing service for patients requiring immunotherapy treatment and toxicity management.
- Be an autonomous practitioner and have the freedom to act to influence patient care and service provision. They will exercise levels of judgement, discretion and decision-making in treatment of immunotherapy.
- Independent non-medical prescriber
- Promoting best practice and delivering coordinated quality cancer care to patients and their families.
- Participate in education and training for immunotherapy.
- Work across organisations to promote cancer care to ensure an integrated approach to care management between localities, organisations and care agencies
- To develop the immunotherapy service.
- To be the lead for immunotherapy management across the Trust.
- To be the lead for service development to improve patient experience in the specialist area.
- To be the lead for immunotherapy education and training.
- To be an expert clinical practitioner, demonstrating advanced clinical competence and autonomy whilst working with the MDT.
- Assess, manage, deliver and co-ordinate the plan of care for patients utilising the effective and efficient use of resources.
