Due to an expansion in the team an exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a new colleagues as Mental Health Liaison Practitioners with the service based at Fairfield General Hospital. we are particularly interested in staff who prefer to work nights,
If you are a registered mental health professional with experience in assessing and supporting individuals of any age and you would like to be part of a growing and developing service we would like to hear from you. We are particularly interested in colleagues with an experience of working with children as well as both working age and older adults to support our urgent pathway within the team and individuals with a background in crisis and acute care to support our emergency pathway.
Main duties of the job
As part of the Mental Health Liaison service you can expect professional support and development in this exciting and challenging area of work. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team at Fairfield General Hospital and will receive regular management and clinical supervision and have opportunities to engage in CPD. As a valued member of the liaison team you will be fully involved in all service developments and given opportunities to support quality improvement. Significant developments have taken place over the past 12 months with acute trust colleagues supported by NHS England which means this is a great time to join the team.
The service runs 7 days a week to support wards and 24/7 to support the Emergency Department, so posts will be worked on a shift basis to include nights, weekends and bank holidays.

- Professional registration in health or social care with up to date accreditation / CPD - RMN, Dip SW, BSc Occupational Therapy or equivalent.

- Proven experience across a range of acute mental health services
- Demonstrate a working experience of a range of assessment tools for a range of mental health conditions

- Experience in identifying and management of delirium
