Are you passionate about supporting, training and developing the new and existing Physiotherapy workforce in North Cumbria?
We are looking for an Physiotherapist with expert clinical knowledge and experience to deliver high quality training, education and clinical support within a diverse and clinically-led organisation spanning Acute and Community services.
You will be pivotal in the progress of a range of Physiotherapy staff including preceptees, support workers, apprentices and development roles as well as being an expert point of contact on all matters related to career pathways for Physiotherapy staff.
You will be part of a growing AHP educator team and this role will be led by the Head of Physiotherapy. You will be supported with dedicated supervision and encouraged to develop your skills and knowledge across the Four Pillars of Practice.
The post requires someone who is motivated, well-organised and has excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire others.
Main duties of the job
Act as a clinical role model, working collaboratively to develop and deliver an ongoing programme of training and education for Physiotherapy new recruits and developing support staff across the trust.
Be responsible for delivering a comprehensive orientation and induction programme for new recruits within the Physiotherapy department.
Be a clinical expert within Physiotherapy and provide hands on supervision of staff in clinical practice to promote the acquisition of new skills and knowledge.
Pivotal in the progress of a range of Physiotherapy staff including preceptees, support workers, apprentices and development roles as well as being an expert point of contact on all matters related to career pathways for Physiotherapy staff.
Contribute to the development of departmental policies, guidelines and scope of practice.
Undertake audits and reviews of practice and policies within the trust.

- Significant post graduate experience working at Agenda for Change Band 6/7 in an area of physiotherapy
- Delivery of formal informal teaching programmes or of supporting training others
- Experience of supporting newly qualified health care professionals in a clinical setting
