Main duties of the job

• Provide a high standard of individualised care to children attending the Children's Emergency Department, acting as a role model and supporting the Senior Sister/Charge nurse in driving quality care provision forward
• Be responsible for standards of cleanliness in the Children's Emergency Department in partnership with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse
• Provide clear clinical leadership to staff, deputising for the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in her/his absence, assisting in meeting the standard of all children being assessed, treated and discharged / admitted within 4 hours
